The item reached me in excellent condition. Nothing fancy, dvd box with disc inside. This movie is great for couples. I watched it with my wife, and I do find it entertaining. Not your usual action blockbuster, its a romantic comedy with a little dark, unconventional humour. Girls would love it for its magic. Guys would secretly wish it happens in real life. Acting is great, and soundtrack is ambient. I recommend it for a quiet sunday afternoon with a loved one.

No problems came right away, in Brand New condition. The movie starring Hope Davis is won of her best works, I loved it, It was an earlier Serendipity...

In the wrong hands this could have been another cutesy look at life and love among the yuppies, instead Hope Davis and a stellar cast (with a virtual but hysterical cameo by Philip Seymour Hoffman)and a good script make this a thoroughly enjoyable watch. Recently dumped (again) by Hoffman's character, Davis is depressed & angry at the bottom feeders she is forced to endure on endless blind dates culled from the respondents to a personal ad placed by her witty, vivacious, successful mother, played to perfection by Taylor Holland. In this parallel story telling technique - On the other side of the bar is Alan Gelfant, who is just a guy trying to make a career leap from plumber to marine biologist. Alan has his own bag of troubles - loan sharks, dopey yuppy brother and a persistant suitor, who just doesn't give up. A really fun movie.

11 years on, this movie is mostly of interest because of the small role played by Philip Seymour Hoffman. As usual, he turns a bit part into something much, much more. But beyond that historical artifact, 'Wonderland' is wonderful. It's well-written, well-acted and downright, laugh-out-loud funny in many spots, but not in a slapstick way. The movie has added thrills for a native Bostonian like me. While it's not steeped in 'Boston-alia' like The Departed (Widescreen Edition) or Mystic River (Widescreen Edition), it has some delightful hooks, like the use of the T's Blue Line (from which it derives its neat movie title), the New England Aquarium (site of many school trips in my youth) and the Wonderland race track ("And there goes Swifty!"). My only gripe: the coverbox. It has nothing to do with the movie itself. Hope Davis is pictured smiling impishly in a revealing, skimpy dress. As viewers of the movie know, Ms. Davis' character doesn't crack a smile until the end, and she's in no mood to wear a dress like that. This isn't as bad as the cover art of such marketing inanities like the totally misleading packaging of The Star Maker and East Is East, but this is still another example of marketers trying to dress-up a movie into something that its not. I bet Hope Davis scratched her head and threw a fit when she saw how the movie was being marketed. It's an affront to the character she developed.

Writer/director Brad Anderson's intelligent and easygoing fable about love and serendipity made me a Hope Davis fan for life. Davis plays a laid back Bostonian who finds her love life set adrift after her pompous environmental activist boyfriend (Philip Seymour Hoffman) suddenly decides that dashing off to save the earth is more important than sustaining their relationship. Her story is paralleled with that of a charming and unassuming single fellow (Alan Gelfant) who aspires to become a marine biologist. Both parties find themselves politely deferring to well-meaning friends and relatives who are constantly trying to fix them up with dates. I don't think it's a spoiler to tell you that these two are destined to end up together! The film seems to have been inspired by A Man and a Woman, right down to its breezy bossa nova/samba soundtrack.

I actually went to a party where this was playing and it was the coolest thing. The picture was crystal clear and the fish were beautiful. It was such a great idea to play while you are entertaining, it provides some awesome scenes & the music was turned down low so it worked with the party atmosphere as well.

This was an impulse purchase for me. I have to admit it's not a bad pick. You can put it on and set to repeat and you have 5 different fish tanks and it never gets boring. The tank is crystal clear. I actually sat thru the whole 65 min to watch it the first time thru with a friend. It really was fun picking out fish and watching them do what fish do, talking about it. The DVD gives you a choice of 2 different music options and a natural tank sound. The only reason I rated it 4 stars instead of 5 is that when the music plays it has a tendency to play the same piece over and over. We also caught a couple of repeat scenes in the total time in a couple of the tanks. But all in all it's a really good DVD. After a rough day at work it will do the trick to relax you. Next to having your own tank this is a good substitute.

A waste of money. Very few fish - single tank in each of two segments. A High school kid could do better. You would be better off buying "Aquaria - The Complete Aquarium Collection" for about the same amount of money. Also, read the customers' reviews not the reviews by those involved with this project. I am very disappointed.

Which it had more tanks, but love the living reef tank. Looks good on my big screen Sony TV.

I couldn't believe that previous reviewers gave this DVD only 1 star!!! Be fair!

I ordered this video expecting a variety of aquariums and fishes. This is shot from a single aquarium which has only a few fishes. It looks like the video is shot using a tripod from an aquarium which any kid can do. The video is just converted to a DVD format(The print on the Disk says that). For this money it is a real waste for home viewing. May be good for TV/DVD sales shops for display purpose.

Image quality is fair at best, and the view is too close up, should have pulled back some. Others are much better and MUCH cheaper in price!

Answers a lot of questions, quick & easy to read w/many pictures. Would highly recommend it for anyone interested in hermit crabs or w/a hermit crab pet. My oldest daughter (3) brings it to school frequently to show everyone the pictures - she's learned a lot from it - so far it's a good substitute for the crab.

A good basic book. Very little detail on day to day. More than I wanted to know about reproduction. B&W photos do not do much to make the little crabs look attractive.

I love Curious George, but this book is just poorly written. It's written by Anderson, not Margret and H.A. Rey, and the style is disjointed and odd. The pictures are good and my daughter still enjoys it, but we thought it was an original Rey book when we bought it. Not hardly.

Along with Clifford and Biscuit books, my 4 yr old grandson loves all the Curious George books, including this one. They are great for him and any children just learning to read.

My 2 year old grandson enjoys the this and other Curious George stories. He would like to have them all.

Great for read-a-loud. Curious George is one of my favorites. As a school teacher, I read this as well as other Curious George favorites to my class.

If your child loves Curious George and aquarium animals, like my daughter does, than they'll love this book. It's a lot of fun

Very good book. We also purchased the "Complete Idiot's Guide . . . " which is much more helpful for a tank setup.

I would have to say that this book is out dated and the info it does offer is very basic. would be ok for someone with just a passing interest in the hobby. But if you plan to set up a full reef I would look else were

This book will serve as a great start in learning the basics of setting up a saltwater aquarium. However the book left me with wanting to know more. After reading this book did not feel I had all the necessary knowledge to start my tank.

I just converted my freshwater 55g tank into a saltwater one. This book is a great reference book, providing lots of information on different fish, invertebrates, etc. including their aggressiveness and size. Glad I bought it!

This is a great first book for anyone looking to get into the hobby of keeping saltwater fish. It starts from the very beginning, but it doesn't get very deep. If you're looking for more you'll have to buy another book, this probably won't make you knowledgeable enough to actually KEEP marine fish.

Being new to aquariums and tropical fish, I found this book to be very helpful in all the basics. It is wonderfully illustrated and covers the major points. I wish it would give more suggestions for possible compatible communities of fish.

I am currently 58 years young and have been into tropical fish ever since I was in the 5th grade. I occasionally purchase tropical fish books, enjoying looking at the various species and reading about them, even though I do not have most of them. I was very delighted with this particular book. Excellent illustrations of many breeds, with some good summary material with each one. Great information for beginners at the front of the book; and a lot of plants covered, with very helpful tips regarding them. Even the illustrations for the plants were excellent! One really gets one's money's worth with this book; it seems that it should cost a lot more than it actually does... a rarity in this day and age! Not a lot of specific information on temperature ranges for each species was provided, but you can easily get that in other books or on the web.

Ok, I live in Brazil. I bought a Freshwater aquarium for my young doughter and this "Complete Book of Freshwater Aquarium..." This book is a "semi-complete" reference guide. On of the most common fish in Brasilian aquarius is the Kinguio or Goldfish(Carassius auratus) [...] . I have searched every page, every word on index about my "Carassius auratus" with absolutely no success. I have other five species in the aquarium, and they are all in the book, with a compreensive information. But my goldfish...

People rating this book are overly picky and unfair. This is a great book for anyone who needs info on tropical fishkeeping.

The best thing about this book is that it does have a lot of content, it covers a lot of fish and plants with photos of almost all common, and some not so common. I saw another review that noted the absence of goldfish, this is true. The book's main downfall is that it is lacking detail, it is lacking things like ideal water parameters. I am glad I have it as a reference, but I am still looking for a good book that has more detailed info on the care of the fish, plants and aquarium in general.
