Cake Decorating Course 3 Fondant and Tiered Cakes Cake Decorating Course 3 Fondant and Tiered Cakes

I didn't realize that this was 13 individual books for an actual class. I bought it as a Christmas present for my mom thinking that it was 1 book. There are some great ideas in it but it was not worth the money I paid.

While browsing on Amazon.com, I found the Wilton method of cake decorating books. I ordered the Course 3 book and it inspired me to sign up for classes. I have found a new hobby. I love ordering on Amazon.com. It is so easy and the merchandise is in your possession before you have time to wonder where your order is.

Book was as described! Fast Shipment! Great to do business with! Thank You!

the book is ok on its own but really is meant to be used in a class.

This is a great how to book for self teaching some more advanced types of cakes. I loved it.

Slap Chop Slap Chop

Reviews

Once upon a time, like many people, I felt a good, sharp knife was sufficient for slicing and dicing... and even chopping. Then I saw this innovative little device on TV. Since everything advertised on TV is worth buying, I figured this would enhance my life and provide new pleasures to a seemingly mundane activity. I was wrong. The Slap Chop should be renamed simply "Slap" as it really does nothing more than exercise your hand's ability to hit a spring-loaded device. The unit is cheaply made and not strong: it had difficulty chopping a tomato, for Pete's sake. And one might presume that a device partially called "Slap" would be designed to be slapped viciously, which turned out to be a requirement to get it to work even at the least acceptable level. However, that ultimately became its downfall when the damn thing fell apart. Moral of the story: use a friggin' knife like the rest of the world. Only in America would we try to replace a seemingly perfect device with a piece of plastic sold by a loudmouth on TV.

Tried chopping onions and just made a mess. It squishes and mushes the food without actually dicing into parts. Also, parts do not fully disassemble so it's very time consuming to clean. Bad product.

A complete waste of money and time. I bought one for myself and one for my friend - a mistake and utter disappointment. I tried to chop an onion, an apple, garlic, mushrooms - nothing worked. Each thing was just caught in the blades and I had to carefully pull out the pieces, risking cutting myself. Nothing was chopped at all.

My husband purchased this item for me for Christmas. It didn't work at all and I would not advise anyone to purchase this item. We returned it to the company and they did give us a full refund. N Chastain

I love my slap chop graty combo. not bad for the price, and it really does chop well. not so great with larger carrots, but they're hard for anything, even a knife, to chop up. the onion peel thing does actually work, not quite as well as in the commercial, but well enough!!!!! i highly recommend this!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I orderd this near Christmas to go with a recipe book from Amazon. It is now Valentine's Day and I still did not recieve the recipe book. So, i would probably be enjoying them more if I had somewhere to put them!!!

What I wanted to know about this product: -Clear so you can see both sides of a recipe card (or do two back to back) -cards slide in from the 3-hole punch side, so they won't fall out (the "picture" is misleading, it made me think that they opened to the outside edge) -fits in a ~9"x8" 3-ring binder. The seller was very prompt with sending out the order, and I received it in a timely fashion, even though it was during the xmas rush. I was very pleased with what I got, especially since I didn't know exactly what I was going to get & thought I would maybe have to return it.

Heavy duty recipe card holder pages - keep recipe cards clean and allows me to see both sides of the card with the flip of the page.

Wanted to make sure that I would be able to continue with my receipes once I started... Great product! Karin, Chadds Ford, PA

These were exactly the refill pages I needed for my recipe book. They were the exact right size, and hold a 4x6 card successfully (It's not like I was asking for much).

I was origionally looking for this for a resident of mine in a rehab who was bored & said he loved this movie. After having a terrible time finding it in stores (Fred Meyer, WalMart, Target, BX, etc...) I found it on Amazon & bought myself one as well. I always liked the soundtrack & it is an entertaining movie. It has the good versus evil thing & high school witches behaving badly with good prevailing in the end. A good mix of high school angst & magic.

Although I've owned this movie for a few years now, it continues to be one of my favorites. Sure, it may be geared more towards teenagers, but I still love it. Basically, three teenage witches entice a new student into their circle and turn on her in the end, but I won't spoil the very ending for anybody who hasn't see this movie. Whether you are a teen, or a teen at heart, if you have even the slightest interest in Witchcraft, you will enjoy this film. I give it two thumbs up and five stars.

I love witch movies. this one was exciting, and scary and cruel and it was the latter that bothered me most. but a totally worthwhile movie. glad i bought it. the DVD case does come with much less plastic than you'd expect, it seems they're on some plastic reducing kick. you'll notice this in other DVDs as well.

This isn't a horror movie although it claims itself to be. It's more like an epsiode of Dawson's Creek with Samantha from Bewitched thrown in. If you like real horror movies, run from this one. Seriously! Tom C.

I own copies of "The Craft" on VHS & DVD, and I swear to God I love it. I have not seen it in like forever, but may do so tonight. When I first saw "The Craft", it seriously got me interested in witchcraft and that is something that I am not afraid to admit.

Introduction to the Canon 7D Volume 1 : Basic Controls Introduction to the Canon 7D Volume 1 : Basic Controls

Reviews

If you are like me and dont like to read the manual, the Canon EOS 7D can be an experience that would make you read the manual, if this video guide had not been made. It is clear and well paced and takes you through the basics so that you can enjoy this great camera. Thank you Blue Crane.

The video was okay.. The beginning I feel was done quite well, but then as it progressed I felt more and more like it was being rushed and lacked sense in some areas. It definitely will help you if you feel overwhelmed by the 7D, but expect 25-30 minutes of unnecessary garbage and slow English, followed by 45 minutes of jumping around, making little sense, and using garbage references that don't clear your perception what so ever. I rated it a 4 because I feel it does what it says, but not a 5 because t begins to jump around and contains lots of unnecessary and confusing information.

The DVD instructions are a real "Running Start" for learning the basics of Canon 7D operation. This DVD has certainly flattened the learning curve. As someone who once used the Canon A1 and FD lenses, I am not a stranger to the SLR world of cameras. So this DVD served as a great introduction to the very different world of the Canon 7D DSLR. The video introduces, in plain English the basic functions of the 7D. It explains how many of the settings are "by touch". The narrator compares how a person can control a car by touch, and that the user of the 7D will eventually learn how to "drive" their camera like one drives a car. When viewing your DVD have a notebook, pen, owner's manual, and post-it colored tape tabs. I viewed it straight through, not stopping for the exercises. I then watched it again, jotting down notes and locating the relevant information in the instruction manual. I then performed the exercises. If the 7D is your first DSLR, purchase this DVD at the same time you purchase your 7D. You will be spared all sorts of frustration as you tackle the learning curve. I plan on purchasing Volume 2 in a few weeks.

Average Rating:

Take great pictures with your Canon 7D! All you need is this training DVD and about 90 minutes, and youll have the knowledge and the confidence to create the images you want. The topics are arranged in chapters, so you can move at your own pace, and return later to individual subjects.

I Can't Believe I'm Crocheting I Can't Believe I'm Crocheting

I Can't Believe I'm Crocheting with Melissa Leapman is great. It is so easy to follow along and you get close up of what Melissa is showing you. She also gives you helpful tips to use. If you are serious about learning to crochet you need to add this to your library.

I was trying to learn and make things from crocheting books but would inevitably give up in complete frustration. I purchased this DVD and what a difference!!! I've already made the barrel bag and fingerless gloves from the DVD and have actually been able to follow one of my book patterns for making slippers. My confidence is up 100% and I've crocheted so much now that my hands hurt. I would highly recommend this DVD to someone who wants to learn or expand their crocheting skills. Love it!

I taught myself to crochet years ago but could never figure out how to do a granny square. I bought this dvd so I could learn a few more stitches and finally complete a granny square. I did one the first try. Very detailed instructions. The only problem is that you have to practice first with how to hold the hook and maintain your gauge. The dvd alone is not going to get you to crochet perfectly on your first shot if you rush through it. Be sure to make plenty of practice swatches first. Once you get past finding your comfort zone with holding the hook and yarn everything else will come naturally.

This is worth the money to buy. This video has a pleasant host that is likeable and the video is well shot so you can see all the details and follow along.

It is great for beginners, great close ups. I learned new stitches quickly. I would recommend this to everyone.

Richard Simmons Dance Your Pants Off! [VHS] Richard Simmons Dance Your Pants Off! [VHS]

Reviews

This is one of my favorite dance videos. Easy dance moves and lots of fun.

This is one of my favorite exercise videos. It has awesome songs, and it is so much fun. It doesn't even seem like a workout - just fun dancing.

I just wanted to write this review in response to a couple of reviews listed earlier. He does have overweight people in this video, and people of all shapes and sizes. I don't see anything wrong with having a few 'skinny' people, as there are skinny people out there too who need to exercise. As a matter of fact, there are more overweight people in this video than skinny people, and he does dance next to overweight people in this video. As far as leaving this video to just the skinny people because the Sweatin' videos are better, well, I bet you didn't get the Sweatin' videos on the first try perfectly, did you? It takes some practice to get the moves down, for sure, and you won't get everything the first try. This is a low impact aerobics video perfect for overweight people who want a little 'spice' to their workouts. I am 60lbs overweight and 5ft4, and I did this video just fine. It might not be for everyone and that's fine too. But there are a lot of moves similar to the ones in the Sweatin' videos, and some similar routines. So if you are an avid user of the Sweatin' videos you should catch on to this one. This one is brilliant. I love the music; I do this video just because Richard's personality is infectious and the music is fantastic. You stretch to 'Sweet Dreams', and do aerobics to 'Congo', and 'All Night Long' to name a few. This video is for everyone. It is not just for skinny people. Overweight folks should have no problem getting through this video.

This is by far one of Richard Simmons best videos. It is for an intermediate level. You can easily catch on to all the moves after about 3 tries! It is short enough to stick with, and long enough to get results. If you are in top shape, this is too easy for you.

I love his Sweatin' to the Oldies. I use them at least every other day and I am seeing great results. I bought this video with the same high hopes and was seriously dissapointed. Dance your pants off was made for people ALREADY in shape, in my opinion. I can't keep up with the tape. If you are overweight like I am, buy one of the Sweatin' to the Oldies tapes and leave this one for skinny people!

Average Rating:

Richard Simmons, the great motivator, presents another light-intensity, low-impact, high-energy workout in the style of his popular Sweatin' to the Oldies series. Again live music is the focus--this time 1980s dance hits such as "Celebration," "Flashdance," "Gloria," "She Works Hard for the Money," and "Call Me...

Florida legislators believed Florida's schoolchildren were too inactive so they changed P.E. requirements for the state's students, requiring classroom teachers provide the remainder of 170 minutes from the P.E. staff. (They do 80 minutes.) As a second grade teacher, I drew on my background from the 1960's and JFK's desire to get the kids in shape and immediately thought of Meredith Wilson's "Chicken Fat". MY STUDENTS LOVE IT!!!

My children love this video. It is an excellent workout for both kids and adults. The kids learned about this at school and begged me to buy it for home. It was a great investment.

I find this a great way to motivate my kids to learn about health and fitness and exercise. I just let them do the exercise routine at their own pace and they really love it.

I really love this video. It really has it all; a great song to sing along to,great exercises and is so much fun. My kids get home from school and can't wait to watch and exercise to Chicken Fat. It's great to see them have so much fun.

I am so glad I found this video. When I was a kid growing up in Ohio in the 1960's we used to listen to the 45 record of Chicken Fat in Gym class all the time and we all loved it. It was really because of Chicken Fat that I became interested in fitness. Today I own a gym for both children and adults and have begun to use Chicken Fat for my Kid class's and they love it. The Mom's and Dad's join in also so it's a lot of fun. I highly recommend this video to all.

World of Warcraft World of Warcraft

This game is ok at best. First off the game allows you to go up to level 80 in the game. Though you have a long way to go in leveling the game only kicks off at level 20 because at level 20 you get a mount, better spell and other things. But after level 21 it gets boring fast. Before you get to level 20 you are basically grinding for level 20. After level 20 you are still grinding for level 80. So basically you get a few hours of actual fun in the game. The game gets boring because the quests are empty and all of them are basically the same every time and basically when you get down to it you are paying 15 dollars a month just to get a better weapon for your character and better spells and other things. Now that wouldn't all be problem if they didn't charge you 15 dollars a month. If the game was free like guilds of war i wouldn't have a problem. Even if they had to be that greedy and charge you money at least charge 5 dollars a moth and that would be an acceptable price.

This game is great if you don't mind paying the 15 bucks a month to play online Highly addictive!

I've been playing WarCraft since the original "WarCraft: Orcs and Humans" debuted in the mid-nineties. Originally a real-time-strategy game (RTS), WarCraft has come a long way and has become Blizzard's flagship. The title, in my opinion, really gained major recognition with the release of WarCraft III: Reign of Chaos and WarCraft III: The Frozen Throne. Without the key characters introduced in these games (as well as WCII: Tides of Darkness and WCII: Beyond the Dark Portal) World of WarCraft never would have been possible. Although I was a bit skeptical at first, after playing the demo for a few days I was hooked. The lush graphics and music that creates the game's environment is simply breathtaking to any video game fanatic. WoW, as it is known, originally has several classes, races, and two factions that the player can use to customize their own character. The game is played online for approximately $15/per month. (A pricey fee to some, but well worth it in my opinion.) Additionally players can choose the option of playing on a PvP game server for added fun and (in some cases) frustration or you can relax on a non-PvP server and enjoy the various areas, dungeons, battlegrounds, and raids that compile the World of WarCraft. I give the game a five-star rating overall, not only because of it's entertainment values but also for the skills that can be incorporated in the lives of our youth. (Social Development, Money Management, etc.) Sounds crazy, but yes some teachers are using this game in the classroom with all that it offers. All that being said, it is very entertaining and will keep you involved for hours, days, months, years, etc. WoW also has two expansions to it: The Burning Crusade and Wrath of the Lich King, with a third expansion (Cataclysm) soon to follow in the fall of 2010.

This is a horrible buy. I got the game as a christmas Gift. Never thinking that you could only play the game online and have to pay a fee to do so. I played warcraft in college with some buddies and enjoyed it greatly. But we never had to go online or pay a fee. That is what I thought this was just another cool and newer version of the game. Not a total ripoff of you money that you have to pay to play. I very disappointed with Bilzzard on this one. So unless you are willing to pay out money every month do not waste you time getting this product. I restate it is a total rip off.

If you're looking for a captivating, exciting gaming experience then World of Warcraft is the perfect choice for you. This game is the industry standard for excellence in fantasy role-playing gaming. With numerous races and character classes to choose from coupled with literally thousands of quests to complete, World of Warcraft is a terrific way to spend hours of leisure time exploring the world of Azeroth--both as an Alliance and Horde character. Jump in a have a blast!

Manga for the Beginner: Everything You Need to Start Drawing Right Away! Manga for the Beginner: Everything You Need to Start Drawing Right Away!

Reviews

Well my title says it all as well! This book is exactly what most people need to start drawing manga right away. Starting with the most basic of all things, character design! The book consists of a lot of different tips and guidance on how to draw characters. starting from the front view, the profile to the 3/4 views of the characters face, body and poses. It also has the basic tips and instructions on drawing weapons and clothes. Just when you thought you are done by mastering those basics, the book teaches something more in a form of drawing animals, anthropods, shading ,colouring and drawing backgrounds! The tips on drawing from perspective is in fact, in my opinion, a very useful tip for any artist in particular. Overall, the book has everything the beginner needs to learn to start drawing right away! but, advanced or even intermediate artists may find this book a bit lacking, but why buy a book for beginners when you are higher in skill level in the first place?

This is not what i would really call a start drawing right away book it's hard to understand even for my friend that knows how to draw magna, anime & chibi.was not what i was excepting cuz i not only bought this for myself but bought it for my "adopted" nephew in england who is 10/11..would not have bought it if i would have seen it first hand..bit sad..

i shop Amazon for my granddchildren who live 300 miles away and who are now 13, 10 & 6. their mother creates a "wish list" on Amazon for each child and that's how i learned of this wonderful service for grannies who don't see their precious ones daily or weekly. Phoebe was truly ecstatic with all of the Manga products i bought, as well as Henry's pleasure & delight with the Xtrasaurus (or whatever those things are called), and my 13 year old Phoebe was THRILLED as only a 13 year old girl can be with the Stylus Mouse Pad. of course, i am clueless about all these items, but the point is the children were happy, entertained, and joyous the several days we were together. thank you Amazon. (i tell all my friends with out-of-town grandchilren about this service.) must say, we live in Texas, 50 miles South of Austin, Texas, and my husband is a Texas ex, so "HOOK 'EM HORNS!", stem the Crimson Tide and win another Crystal Trophy!! Tonight is the night! Rose Bowl will rock. linda blevins

This book really did get me started drawing manga. The directions are easy to follow with good tips for drawing. The only part I didn't understand was the vanishing points section but I pretty much got everything else. One part I wish it would've gone over was the wrinkles in clothes. Although the book was pretty good, I'm working on realistic drawings but for anyone who wants to draw manga, this is really the right book to start off at.

You gotta be already pretty functionnal at drawing before reading this book. It goes right to the point and explains specifics details about mangas and how to draw them. In no time, I was drawing pretty fine faces. There's a lot of explanations about eyes which is usually the main point of focus about mangas. For the body, I found the list of tricks a bit short. So... I'm still practicing that part... understanding things on my own takes a bit longer. All in all, Quite satisfied with the book!

How To Draw Manga Volume 14: Colorful Costumes (v. 14) How To Draw Manga Volume 14: Colorful Costumes (v. 14)

Reviews

I have purchased many of the How to draw manga books and a few from other how to art books. This one includes many useful costumes to add to your characters wardrob. The content of this book is in color to help the artist make color illustrations. Like many how to books it does not tell you how to do every detail step by step. It is like many from this series that expects you to have some artistic skill before you picked up this book. Intended for intermediate to advanced artists but could be usefull to new artists as practice material. You will get better with practice and there is good content in this book to help you improve.

I found this book to be most helpful. The girls are draw realy style, almost like they've been photographed and traced. They have realistic proprotions and look natural. The uniforms are very detailed, with key elements highlighted. There are also segments on shoes, ties, blouse styles and what not that are not part of a particular uniform so you can make your own. I still flip through this one when fishing for random ideas, and something usually pops up.

This book is full of color pictures of uniforms (maid, restuarant, cat costume, female business dresses, and some "sexy" costumes. The book shows the uniforms in simulated 3d both on a sample character and clothes only (no sample character in them). It will help you get a feel for the coloring and the details, but it doesn't have any steps for drawing the uniforms pretty much all you see is the final step. So if you want to see finished drawings of a good cross section of female uniforms and some costumes, then this is the book you want.

I suspect most aspiring American manga artists are attracted to the medium in part because of the fanciful, out-of-the ordinary costumes that many manga characters wear in fantasy, otherworldly or futuristic environments. But the setting in a good number of manga stories--even those featuring super-powered protagonsists--live in the "real world." It's often a greater challenge for a would-be manga artist to create a contemporary wardrobe for main, supporting, and background characters, than is the task of devising a "cool" costume. And what about service uniforms for restaurant workers, candy-stripers, and the like. Details for such outfits can't be faked or improvised!"Colorful Costumes" is a wonderful intoduction to the world of service uniforms. In his illustrations, Mr. Ozawa has reproduced the uniforms worn by employees of over a dozen actual restaurants in Japan (of course they were accurate as of the time of the publication of the original Japanese edition of this volume). Ozawa also includes clothing worn in ethnic-themed eateries, roadside snack-stands, and hospitials. He includes a detailed description of each outfit. All illustrations are in color (hence the higher price), and the models are primarily female, drawn in a near-realistic style. The drawings clearly display the construction of each outfit. Since most of the costumes are made in a Western style, the reader should have no trouble adapting the uniforms for his or her purposes. You never know when you might need a waitress in a scene, so this book makes a good reference. Of course, you should also observe the many outfits worn by people of different professions in your own community.

I have music classes for children ages 2 to 5 years old. I often have 25 of them at a time. When the children hear Raffi"s voice they are captivated and eager to sing along.

raffi does not go out of style....I'm now giving his songs to the children of the children I originally gave his music too. They love him!

My grandchildren request this CD all the time. We also have his other CDs. I am proud to be a fellow Canadian. This entertainer knows that the adults in children's lives need to enjoy the music the children love.

My kids are 34 and 19...both went to sleep with all the Raffi music. I was so happy to find the CD to send a close friend who just had a little girl. I am smiling...

This cd is really good. Children love to sing along with him. They will love everything about it and thwy will dance around and jump up and down.

The DVDs are fantastic and extremely enjoyable. I would highly recommend these DVDs for every artist interested in acting in the theater. :D

I just started acting class and am hungry to learn the craft. This DVD will really help you learn to focus, center in the character's motivation and identity, learn how to use substitution and emotional and sense memory. If you love Uta's books you will definitely enjoy watching her in action as she coaches and gives feedback to her students. I think you can keep watching this DVD as you grow in the craft and you will see different things as you progress in acting.

Uta Hagen is one of the greatest acting teachers of the 20th century. This DVD really captures her essence, her wit, her technique, and her insight. It truly is a treasure to see her. If you haven't read her book, you'll still get plenty out of it. If you have, you will love it all the greater. To really hear her voice telling all about her exercises and ideals is amazing. Anyone who loves the theatre and wants to be an actor would greatly appreciate, love, and find useful. I implore all of you to buy this!I certainly will use it for a long time to come!

This is an amazing investment for any actor, whether beginner or advanced. These dvds are actual classes and exercises by Uta Hagen herself, it seems as if you're right there in the class with her. For any actor out there who wants to advance and refine his or her craft, I absolutely recommend it.

This dvd is perfect for the novice or the student.Ms. Hagen has a very engaging style and interacts well with her students. The different scenes are approached and critiqued in helpful ways without a lot of grand-standing or diva attitude. This lady is a professional and treats all with respect. Many comments from famous students like Amanda Peet and Whoopee Goldberg also add to the texture of the workshops.

Got it for my wifes kindle and she says thet it is the best reading light she ever used!!!!!

Small, flexible, and the perfect amount of light for reading. It lights up my book, but not the whole room, so it does not bother anyone else.

I use this w/ my Kindle every night! I love that I don't have to waste batteries w/ the AC adapter! It's super bright and it can even dim with a click of a button.

Im finally back to reading in bed without disturbing anyone. This Booklight was just perfect.Ive given up buying them for nothing was bright enough and the batteries would burn out soon..but now..No More...Thank you for caring this..its a godsend..B.W.

If you own a Kindle and find yourself reading in places that aren't always adequately lit this book light is a welcome solution. It clips on securely and holds on tight. The two settings give you some options and the light is very bright and crisp. As some other reviewers noted, though, the placement of the buttons make them very easy to brush against something in your bag, inadvertently turning on the light, bleeding the power from your batteries. If not for that annoying design flaw I would whole heartedly recommend it.

3M 109 Wallsaver Removable Mounting Tape 3M 109 Wallsaver Removable Mounting Tape

Reviews

Does what it is supposed to for temporary posters etc. Not the cheapest way, but convenient and quick with the dispenser. Tape is clear so if you miss a corner it won't show. Comes off hard surfaces easily without leaving residue. Removal from paper surfaces may cause damage depending on how dense the paper is and how long it has been on.

This stuff is useless for posters. I've tried to hang up four standard weight 24" x 36" posters with in the last several days, and they've all fallen down within a few hours. If you can find 3M's "black removable mounting tape" anywhere, buy that instead. Unfortunately 3M seems to have discontinued it, so back to putting holes in my walls or using packing tape I guess.

I would give it 0 stars if I could. I followed the instructions and wanted to tape up lightweight cardstock, about 7x10 in a page. The weight isn't the problem, though the tape should be able to hold such a small amount of weight. It just does not stick to the wall. I pressed down hard and it keeps coming up and the Alphabet Cards falling off the wall. Very irritating after I spent time spacing out the alphabet cards perfectly and arranging it just right, just to find 1/2 of them on the floor the next morning.

After mounting I applied this tape and it worked perfectly. My head no longer punched a hole through the drywall although movement is minimized which kinda reduces enjoyment.

I like to make 20x30 enlargements and put them on light (not heavy) foam poster board. The trick is trying to hang or otherwise affix them to the wall. It may be the type of paint on my walls, but this stuff does not work well in my home. I tried it once a long time ago and just recently decided to try again. Who knows, "Maybe I'll have better luck this time," I thought. My wife scoffed as I proudly joined her for a night's rest. "Have faith," I said, "It won't fall down this time." As I peered through the darkness, I noticed that the wall seemed whiter than it should - at least where I placed the poster. "Never mind - it fell down already," I said. This is not to say that it is a bad product (all the time). Just know that it doesn't work in some cases.

CR Gibson Deluxe Photo Book, Gold 50th Anniversary Album, CR Gibson Deluxe Photo Book, Gold 50th Anniversary Album,

This is a nice album, understated, not gaudy or anything like that. It was reasonably priced, and arrived well within the estimated ship date. We also printed out captions for each photo, and used a glue stick to put them in with the photos, as most of our photos were 4x6, and thus had extra space. It seems almost impossible to find the 9x12 albums that used to be almost the standard, and even finding one that would hold the 5x7's was hard, but this one did the trick. My parents are even keeping the album within the box it came in (it has a clear plastic front, and is "nice" for a protective box).
