The Standard Deviants: Accounting, Part 1 [VHS]ReviewsI bought Standard Deviants Accounting Part 1 and watched it several times. If I was smarter and used less drugs earlier in life perhaps I could have watched it fewer times. Anyway, I aced accounting 101 and got a recommendation from my teacher who was an IRS accountant to tutor accounting 101 at the community college. I bought this video, and the Accounting Part II video. It made a very confusing subject simple and easy to understand. I watched both videos a few times, then took the college exam to test out of the classes. I passed with flying colors! I highly recommend the Standard Deviants tapes! I got this and the Accounting II tape, and I understand more after watching just the first tape than I did after 3 weeks in Accounting class! The humor and helpful methods for remembering concepts in this very confusing subject are just perfect. I've purchased lots more of the Standard Deviants' tapes so I can brush up on all those subjects I didn't understand when I was a kid! Average Rating:![]() |

The Standard Deviants: Accounting, Part 2 [VHS]ReviewsI used both of Standard Deviants Accounting videos for accounting 101 at a local community college taught by an IRS accountant. I aced the course and was recommend by him to tutor accounting 101 for the college. I owe it all to Standard Deviants........if I ever take another class I will see if they have videos on those too!!!!!!! Great way to learn a "dry" subject and a great way to keep from falling asleep while watching a learning video about such a subject. Average Rating:![]() |

Enchanted AprilReviewsI had a friend who kept nagging me to watch this movie. I was assured that I would love it. Well, I started to watch it and the first couple of minutes seemed rather dull to me -- little did I know that this movie would turn out to be one of my alltime favorites. I especially like such movies as "Tea With Mussolini", "Avalon" and "Room With a View". And, as much as I liked those, I like this one a hundred times more! Why? I'm not actually sure of the exact reason. I tend to think it appeals to a certain type of person. I can say the actors are absolutely excellent, the scenery is beautiful, but I suppose it is the engaging storyline (that many women especially can relate to) that makes it particularly attractive to me. Also, the pace of the movie is appealing. That is an unusual reason I suppose, but the timing of the scenes is simply perfect. Everyone who was involved with the project of making this movie should feel very proud of such a fine product (without hesitation I gave it five stars). I suppose the person who deserves the most praise would have to be the author of the book the movie was based on. In any case, I LOVE it, and many thanks to everyone who participated in the making of this fine movie. This is a great pick for people who need a pick-me-up or want to imagine a dreamy, sunlit paradise. No car chases, no torrid sex scenes. It's got romance, humor, and quiet introspection. I want to warn you that not a lot happens in the film. My favorite image is Miranda Richardson lying on the grassy hillside in Italy, dozing and trying to decide if she should invite her husband to the villa she and her friends have escaped to during London's rainy dreary spring. This movie is appropriate for grandmas and infants. I found this movie years and years ago at my local public library. It's adorable. Beautifully paced - and photographed wonderfully. 2 ladies who barely know each other agree to rent and share a castle in Italy for April - wanting to escape the dreary spring rains in London. They invite two other women (who they don't know) to help cover expenses. What happens is magical. This is about love. Love between friends, love between husband and wife, new found love, old love. There are a few interesting twists and turns - and the ending, well... you'll never be sorry you bought this. This movie kept my interest and was very scenic, but I am at a bit of a loss to explain the point of it. When it got to the end, it had put me in a better mood and as were all the characters. I guess that must have been it then. In any case, I liked it and recommend it. This film is like going away for a day by the lake, but without the hassle of getting a picnic ready. A gentle story about love restored or found. Lovely views. Charming characters. Very relaxing. Just a little quirky, but only enough to bring a smile to one's face. Average Rating:![]() |

Shall We Dance?ReviewsThis is a slightly long but utterly charming and often laugh-out-loud (and sometimes eyes-tear-up) film that was justifiably a massive hit in Japan. Unlike the horrible American remake, it's not driven primarily by star power, and it's not dumbed down or otherwise changed to otherwise appeal to us Americans. Any of us -- dancers or not -- should be able to relate to the movie themes of longing, hope, and fulfillment; we can relate to feeling trapped, to doing the right things for the wrong reasons (and vice versa), to worrying about how others perceive us, and to overcoming challenges when we finally figure what we've gotta do and why :). That may all sound a bit philosophical and boring, but don't be deceived. This movie has slapstick, funny lines, at least one crazy wig, a wacky bathroom scene not involving a congressman or illicit behavior, and much more. So do rent or buy this movie; you won't regret it! After all the crap going on in the last year - makes you feel good again. Wonderful therapy. Though it is a subtitled movie, it's easy to follow. The story is beautiful. This is the original of the remake done a few years ago by Jennifer Lopez and Richard Gere. Great easy to watch movie. This film has already been reviewed, but I still wanted to add my 2c. The line "let the music flow", which is spoken at a very important point in the film is definitely going to help me improve my life. To me, it meant that we can ease up, be more open and communicate better if we go with the flow. I can't dance for nuts, and that might be one reason why I empathized with the main character. The other part which made a deep impact on me was a twist told in the end, about something which went wrong for one of the characters. Acknowledging that disaster made it easier for that person to get over it. The high ratings are completely justified! Must see. Well, are you tired of your marriage life? Feel like mid-life crisis? Here is a movie to be enjjoyed. Average Rating:![]() |

DeceptionReviewsthis is a great movie. suspenseful, intriguing. i love hugh jackman and he was awesome in this movie. DECEPTION (2008) is one of those films that fares better after the brouhaha surrounding its release has dies down: catching for free on television probably adds to the positive response if the viewer has never even heard of the film! So, in that vein, DECEPTION is a smooth thriller populated by a fine cast of actors who manage to keep the audience with them as the various aspects of this maze of a film at first confuse and then satisfy. Writer Mark Bomback impresses and director Marcel Langenegger shows promise, but it is the work of the three main characters, with some VERY strong support form fine actors in cameo roles, that makes this thriller tick. Jonathan McQuarry (Ewan McGregor) is an accountant whose world needs to be precisely organized - and boring - and excludes any form of diversion or unexpected excitement. Until handsome and debonair 'lawyer' Wyatt Bose (Hugh Jackman) appears on the scene. The two strike up a strange 'guy-thing' relationship: Bose introduces McQuarry to tokes and women and then accidentally exchanges cellphones with the spaced out McQuarry. Probably for the first time in his life McQuarry notices a young lady (Michelle Williams) in the subway and without an exchange of more than a few words of direction he becomes obsessed with her. Meanwhile Bose is off to London, leaving McQuarry to discover the cellphone connection to a sex club: call a number, ask if they are busy, meet them, and have a wholly anonymous liaison - following the strict rules of the club. McQuarry responds to some of these calls and discovers a world that includes such beauties as Charlotte Rampling, Natasha Henstridge, Paz de la Huerta, Maggie Q...and incidentally, 'S' - the moniker assumed by Michelle Williams. McQuarry and 'S' connect on a higher level and it is at this point that Bose returns and the deceptive scheme for 'altering auditor books' to shift millions to Bose is presented to McQuarry as the only way he will see 'S' again. From then on nothing is as it seems, entanglements become knots, bad things happen, and the only saving grace is the manner the film ends just shy of the happy-wappy manner....until the final frames betray the taste of the movie. DECEPTION is not a great film, but it is a good diversion as a thriller that keeps you thinking. McGregor, Jackman, Williams et al (especially a cameo detective performance by Lisa Gay Hamilton) give fine performances - and that alone is refreshing enough to stay with the movie to the end. Grady Harp, June 10 Please note that I saw this on HBO so I can't comment on the quality of the video transfer or its features. Deception has some good points--mainly the excellent cast--and some decent acting. But the plot is, as other writers here have noted, so full of holes that you could drive a truck through them. But if you ignore that, and concentrate on the development of the main characters, none of whom are what they seem to be on the surface, and which is gradually revealed during the course of the movie, there is some tension and drama from that as the movie unfolds and you discover their true nature. The idea of an exclusive, casual sex club in New York City where people use fictional names to hide their true identities, is sort of interesting, and a key relationship in the movie gets developed because of that when they break the club's rules of anonymity. The details of the international banking and money transfers were also sort of interesting, and the movie has an unexpected twist of an ending. The sex club idea reminded me of the infamous Plato's Retreat decades ago in New York City--I wonder if anyone still remembers that? I also want to mention that the movie has Charlotte Rampling in a supporting role, who I haven't seen in many years. The last time I recall seeing her was in the sci-fi/fantasy movie Zardoz from the mid-80s where she played opposite Sean Connery. This was not one of Connery's most successful movies, (as one reviewer here said, "It's a movie that takes two hours to inform us that immortal dilettantes would become suicidally bored"), but has since become something of a cult flick. At least it was better than the much cheesier Logan's Run starring Michael York, Jenny Agutter, Richard Jordan, Farah Fawcett, and Peter Ustinov, from the same period. Anyway, I digress, but getting back to the present film, altogether, not a great movie but not a bad one, either, and if you're a Jackman or McGregor or Williams fan probably worth your while. In the fast corporate world of America, business is just business and entanglements are annoying hindrances. However, if you're Jonathan McQuarry, you won't think so. He wants complications; he wants all the trouble and hindrances he can get. But it ain't exactly easy even though, seemingly on the outside, he is a well-adjusted and successful man. In reality, he is an awkward, lonely accountant, who craves companionship but doesn't have the confidence to chase after it. While on one of his many two week jobs, auditing major corporations in the heart of FiDi, he comes across Wyatt Bose, a fast talking, smooth-sailing confidence man that Jonathan would give anything to imitate. Bose introduces him to the high life, and to the kind of existence that Jonathan has always dreamed of but never thought he could attain. It gets him thinking, wanting, doing. When their phones are accidentally switched, it introduces Jonathan to The List, a Sex Club for the corporate and the highly successful--and run by them. One-night stands, hot sex with beautiful strangers, Jonathan goes crazy and wild, gaining confidence and an edge along the way. And maybe, just enough to keep him alive. As he meets more women, then beds them, both older and younger women, Jonathan can't escape the face of a beautiful blonde he caught a glimpse of in the metro. When he finds her, he can't get enough of her. And thus, untangles the ugly truth of Wyatt Bose, aka, Jamie Getz, criminal extraordinaire, and his muse, the mysterious blonde woman 'S'. What Jonathan finds out too late is that the whole meet-greet and suck him in into the glamorous life is a game. To steal millions. Deception is a standard, transparent and predictable psychological thriller/suspense that is mostly forgettable, following all the tried and true 'slight of hand' tricks that were poorly executed or interesting. It had a fairly well crafted character arch, in which Ewan McGregor's ability, as the geeky-gawky loser, gives more than what's there and is the film's only saving grace. Hugh Jackman pulled off a chilling and conniving criminal, though he just can't compete with McGregor. Lacking wit or intelligence in general, the cinematography and the overall look of the film almost makeups for this dull effort by Marcel Langenegger, because that's actually well done and you won't take your eyes off for that precise reason. The surprise appearances by Maggie Q and Charlotte Rampling added some flavor and mild depth that the movie, in its entirely, lacked completely. It wasn't the actors, who did well enough, it was a plot that you know to well with nothing new. Michelle Williams as the troubled and doe-eyed S, while completely transformed as to not be recognizable, is a bland and useless visual. Her role as the vehicle to transform Jonathan is unfulfilled. There is one twist and turn that you won't expect but how it ends is not only lame, but disappointing and utterly saccharine. On a rainy day with little expectation and if you're in the mood for a predictable thriller, Deception will win you over. However, if you like a bit more thought and better story telling in general, pass. Or watch once, wince, and move on. Deception was such a great movie with a good story. It was fun to see what people can really get themselves into. This movie took many twits and turns. Every scene that you try to predict it goes a different way. It was very unpredictable and that is a good thing. It kept you guessing the whole movie through. Average Rating:![]() |

Marcel Langenegger makes his feature-film directorial debut with the aptly titled DECEPTION, a film about secrets and lies. Jonathan McQuarry (Ewan McGregor) feels that life is passing him by. He completes short-term audits for a large firm, but doesn't really feel any connection to his employer and finds it difficult to make friends at his assignments since he's never there for long... |

It is great when you have a question, they give just the right amount of info. The book was shipped quickly and was in great condition. I would definitely buy from this seller again. Product arrived on time, just as noted in the sale. Book is very interesting. Thanks The book is for beginners and has many pictures to help you along the way. Microsoft Office Visio 2007 Step by Step (Step By Step (Microsoft))ReviewsThis book is a very good reference book for project managers. In particular, it is helpful for creating timelines to view projects at a glance and tracking project details with Gantt charts. Book was in great condition and arrived quickly; wonderful experience! I will buy from this vendor again! This books is great for beginners. I took a class in Visio and this is the book they used. Walks you through everything. Truly step by step and with pictures to guide you. Despite the negative reviews of some others, I thought this book was more than satisfactory. I purchased it to do some training, and felt totally comfortable with the content and its presentation. I had a good experience with one of the "Step by Step" books a few years ago, but this one was pretty disappointing. The text and exercises are helpful only at the most basic level. While I knew it was an introductory book, I did not realize just HOW basic it would be. If you've never seen Visio before, you may find it of some use, but it will be of absolutely no value as a desk reference after it's been read. In addition, it is supposed to be a paperback book with a CD that, in addition to practice files, includes an eBook version for the buyer's convenience. That makes a good selling point for this product, but it is misleading. Only 60% of the book is in hard copy, the remaining chapters are stored in individual PDF files on the accompanying CD along with the eBook (which also contains only 60% of the content). I did not expect or want to be tied to my desktop computer in order to read the last 40% of the book (a total of 4 chapters). Overall, Microsoft Visio 2007 Step by Step was poor choice and I would not recommend it to anyone. Average Rating:![]() |

Microsoft Excel Data Analysis and Business Modeling (Bpg-Other)ReviewsThe author seems to be trying to satisfy the need of a mid-level business students and an intermidiate excel user. This lack of clear 'target' is the book's weakness. I am an accountant with little experience, I thought the book could give me some grounding in practical financial analysis. However I found the topics too shalow and the excercises not challenging. The product was delivered in a timely manner, was in good condition as promised, and included all materials. I am very satisfied with this transaction The book is in mint condition and it is vey helpful for O.R. problems utilizing MS Excell Solver or @Risk add-ons. I just loved this book. its outstanding. easy examples with simple guidance-made it more user friendly. i use the pdf format in office...when i need it. thanks for a well written book.... Highly recommended for any interested buyer. The book is clear, concise, and to the point. I used it as my standard reference in my training and for all my training delegates. This book gives you fantastic and powerful tools that you need to develop a business model. It does not show you how business models work from a finance stand, rather lets you combine this and that of tools to develop the model, based on your requirements. I like it very much. Good job! The Official Guide for GMAT Verbal Review, 2nd EditionReviewsThis is a good book with complete sets of exercises, but it would be better to buy the one with Math exercises (the purple one). Even if you don't intend to do Math exercises, it is good to read and understand the test techniques. I never got my book, I wasted my money and time waiting for the book that I never got. Although I tried to contact the seller, I never even got a response as to what happened to the book I purchased. If you are seriously considering taking the GMAT exams then this is not the right place for you. I loved the workout the book gave, lots of questions to try and practice. I would have liked tougher passages, but the CR and SC are really good. Its not a good starting book, but if you are done with OG, then this is a good book for further practice. Its a good book if you are adding it to the main course. Can find additional practice item.I do not think English changes much over the years so edition does not matter much. Good book, for those who want to understand the way of taking the GMAT, but only practice and most of the material will change all of the time. Average Rating:![]() |

Intermediate AccountingReviewsFirst off I want to say everything stated in my review is an issue of opinion and not fact. That is everything written is my opinion of this book. I'll have to say this is one of the poorest accounting books I've come across in some time. Shockingly a majority of schools either use it for their intro accounting classes (level 200) or intermediate accounting classes (level 300). In terms of being a book used for intro accounting this is a poor book to use since the terms, examples, and conceptual aspects of the book are very vague and assume you already have a meta-understanding of accounting (i.e. how accounts interplay with each other and effect various financial statement). Needless to say this is a poor excuse for an intro-accounting book when students have no prior knowledge. Why some schools use this book for this reason is beyond me. Now heres my review for this book for it's intended use... First off, a majority of the first half of the book chapters 1-14 is review of intro financial accounting with some new concepts or elaborations of older concepts thrown in. Nothing in this book new or old material is very well explained and uses the most vague examples and explanations. This is kind of shocking considering this book is on the really wordy side for a college textbook. Also this book does a poor job of presenting Accounting as a mathematical science. When taught on these terms accounting is a lot easier for most student. Due to the reason stated above this book is simply acceptable but not great. I say not great because this book is way too vague and lacks a lot of key information you'll have to get from outside sources (i.e. your teacher or online). A great example I have is a chapter strictly on the Statement of Cash Flow (chapter 5). This book lacks what goes into each type of category within the statement of cash flow. For instance what goes into The operating, financing, and investment portion of the Cash flow Statement is omitted for some strange reason. Furthermore, this book fails to explain why changes in accounts payable, receivable, inventory, ect effect cashflow. To me this is simply inexcusable and poor logic and judgement was used in the formation of the content within this book. This is just but one example of the inadequacies of this book. In the end I can't give this book a recommendation. It's just really really really really poorly made from a students perspective. I have being using Keiso Intermediate Accounting since 1986, and have found that it's the best text ever in intermediate accounting.therefore I recommend it for students and employed accountants to update their accounting knowledge. My only complaint about the book is that there aren't enough examples worked. Occasionally there will be a comprehensive example that I found helpful, but for the most part the examples are lacking. I don't know what other intermediate accounting books are out there, but if you are like me and need to see more than one example, then I'd consider finding another resource to use along with this. This was a textbook chosen to be used for 2 of my intermediate accounting courses in college. I found this book very difficult to understand for students trying to grasp and learn intermediate accounting for the first time. There is no doubt that this book has tons of in depth information in the field of accountancy, but the way it is written is very poor for students to understand and comprehend. It seems as if the authors are writing this book trying to sound smart, but in no way does it make it easy to understand. Many classmates in my course has complained about how difficult it is to read this text book. The examples are poorly given expecting the students to already know the material. Many of the reviews here are based on delivery and shipping of the book, not the actual content. I would avoid this book at all cost, but too bad I have no choice since it is chosen by my business department. Many classmates and myself had to look elsewhere to other sources in order to understand the material better. Granted, my teacher had to fix little mistakes, the book and material were amazing. Well worth the money. I'm saving mine. Average Rating:![]() |

Kaplan GMAT 2011 Premier with CD-ROM (Kaplan Gmat Premier Live)ReviewsAs a Gmat coach here in Rio de Janeiro, I have to purchase a great variety of materials to help Brazilian candidates whose native language is not English. Kaplan premier is above par; nonetheless, the only suggestion I can offer is that if you are looking for different CAT test, these tets have not changed in the last 6 years; unfortunatly, Kaplan should try and provide different tests at different degrees of difficulties. Sometimes, clients see a new version 2012, for example - but the tests are all the same as the previous one tony kozlowski If you are new to the GMAT, Kaplan Premier is a great book to start with - it provides a good intro to the test (explains the mechanics, basic priciples, gets you familar with the test structure, etc), has solid strategies that you can use regardless of your level, and finally, comes with 6 Adaptive tests. Think of it a starter car - you don't want to start with anything expensive before you know what you are looking for actually. THE GOOD: * Solid material with great Math and Verbal strategies as well as some background * Good structure and layout; helps if you are a visual learner * 6 Full GMAT Tests (5 are in adaptive CAT format on the CD/online and 1 is in a paper format in the book) * Online practice with additional exercises and quizzes - 15 online drills * Much of general info on gmat has been moved into online video format, called Fast Fact Videos; that helps with learning when you have had too much reading for the day * Great value for the money with 6 Full GMAT tests, practice questions on the CD, and many online Quizzes THE BAD: * Same as the previous editions of this book - would expect a bit more revision from a new edition. * Access to the online components expires after 1 year. This is the only reason to buy a new book vs used * CD is windows only (for Mac you will need to use the online registration and take these tests online) * Does not have the depth and width a 700+ score requires * 650 Pages and 4 LBS! - not a travel size book However, it is hard to score 700+ relying just on this book (simply not enough space to fit it all in); you will need to get some other materials to get you bases covered. My suggestion would be to spend a month going through this book and once you know your weaknesses and area that require extra attention, you can do a deep dive with somespecialized books (there are quite a few of those). SOME OTHER THOUGHTS: * What is a good study plan using Kaplan Premier? My recommendation would be to start with this book, finish it in about a month or so (by this time you will learn all the basics about the test, how it works, what is tested, and general strategies for answering questions). Then, you an figure out what's the best use of your time - you may have reached your target score and can stop or perhaps you are really lacking in Quant or Verbal and need a lot more serious practice. * Will this book give me 700+ score? For the majority of applicants, No. It is not deep enough for most people out of college to refresh the math and verbal fundamentals. You will most likely need other books to help you get there. * How do I get 700 then? There are several options: 1. Review each section separately using the Kaplan GMAT Math Workbook and Kaplan GMAT Verbal Workbook 2. Thorough/Methodical review of each area - If you have a bit more time, grab the collection of 8 Manhattan Guides. These books are excellent and are actually used in the classroom setting for their classes, so you are defintely get the top books. If you dont need/want the entire collection, see my review for what stand-alone books to get. This plan is likely to get you a higher score with this section but it will also take up more time (about a month more). Decide on the approach based on your starting position, target score, time you have, and willingness to study math and grammar for months without a break. * Any other books I need to know about? YES. There is one - The Official Guide for GMAT Review, 12th Edition. This book is published by the creators of GMAT and contains real GMAT questions. You should also download the Official GMAT Prep software from GMAC's website (it's free). * What if I have trouble getting through this book? Where can I find help? There are several books that can help you get up to speed with quant and grammar: 1. For Quantitative section: Foundations of GMAT Math by Manhattan GMAT 2. For Verbal Section: Kaplan GMAT Verbal Foundations (grammar only) Let me know if you have any questions about the book - I reply to comments! (also see additional book images I uploaded) Good Luck, BB, Founder of GMAT Club GMAT 750 (q49, v42) The CD rom that comes with this book is not Mac compatible. It has tons of questions and now I cannot even use them. What a waste of time and money Average Rating:![]() |

TurboTax Deluxe Federal + eFile + State 2009ReviewsI got it in record time and as it was sold NEW in the box , Good price . Amazon is so much better than EBAY and no PAYPAL holds your money for a time befor they pay the seller so your things take for ever to come Don Priduct was a big help for a rlative who had gotten to the age in life when help was needed to do the federal and state taxes. i already use this product and highly recommend it. I was charged $282.71 because TurboTax screwed up. I went back to my return and confirmed: It was not the data I entered; Turbotax screwed it up. I would absolutely never recommend this to anybody under any circumstances. No way to get 2nd state as the free state with the 2nd license on the same computer without overwriting the first turbo tax program. Ended up emailing and calling Intuit. The calling was waste of more than half an hour with a tech support/customer svc rep in India. He didn't understand my issue and didn't have a clue on how to solve it except to agree with my guess that the only way to use the 2nd state was to install it on a different computer. However the email response was much better. They just loaded a free state into my account for me to download. So I thank Intuit for that. Turbo tax is the only program supported by Fidelity for their download data. They do not support Tax Cut. And I have been using it for years. Not perfect but does a decent job. What I don't like is that if you go back to change an answer to an interview question you get unpredictable and different results. It doesn't change the consequences of that change. I sometimes find it is better to start a whole new tax return and put in the correct answer rather than try going back to make a change. I bought this in February, did all my updates and filed just before April 15th. TODAY....I get the following email from Intuit: _______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ We are contacting you about a situation we've identified where some customers have overlooked TurboTax guidance and inadvertently entered a medical expense deduction twice. This situation affects customers who received a Form SSA/RRB 1099 that includes Medicare premiums. There is a possibility that these customers entered these medical expenses twice in TurboTax -- once when they entered their Medical premiums (Box 5) for Form SSA/RRB 1099, and again when they entered their itemized medical expense deductions. This situation may apply to you if you answer "yes" to all of the following questions. 1. Did you enter Medicare insurance premiums reported on Form SSA/RRB 1099 (box 5) in the 1099 TurboTax interview section? 2. Did your return contain a Schedule A (Itemized Deductions) that included medical and dental expenses on Line 4? 3. Did you enter the same Medicare insurance premiums reported above (#1) as an itemized medical expense deduction on Schedule A? If you answered yes to all questions and you need to correct your return, please follow the instructions below. Immediate actions you should take: 1. You need to amend (correct) your tax return(s) and pay any additional taxes owed. Please review the information in this Help Article [...].html and follow the steps to amend your return(s). 2. Intuit stands behind the TurboTax Satisfaction Guarantee. If for any reason you are not satisfied with TurboTax, we will refund your purchase price. You can find additional information about our Satisfaction Guarantee at: [...] Although the calculations are correct, we do know that some customers with medical insurance premiums claimed this deduction twice. It is important that you have this information so that you can amend your return, if necessary. If you have questions or would like additional assistance, please contact TurboTax at 1-800-624-2088 (Monday through Friday, 8am to 5pm PST.) Please remember to have your tax return information available and be at your computer with your return when you call. Respectfully, Bob Meighan TurboTax, Vice President ___________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ OK, GREAT! Now I get to do my taxes all over, probably mess up my returns nicely in the upcoming years to boot. Oh, the best part? Their "satisfaction" guarantee is only for 60 days!!!!! Bet they waited so long to "DISCOVER" THEIR SCREW UP, to assure they didn't have to pay any of those "guarantees"? Wanna bet.....NEVER again will I deal with this low life company. Never. TurboTax Business Federal + efile 2009ReviewsThe software is easy to use and can readily answer questions that you may have. It gives you the option of leading you through all the possibilities that could be entered into the forms or you can fill out the forms that you believe are correct. We purchased this edition of Turbo Tax to complete our businesses returns. We have a corporation, LLC and a sole proprietorship. This edition will not work for the sole proprietorship, so we have to purchase yet another edition. I have no complaints about the product itself. It seems to cover all the bases as far as filing a small business return. It's unfortunate that Turbo Tax makes a distinction between a single and multiple-member LLCs. If you have a single-member LLC, you can use the much less expensive Home and Business version but if you have a multiple-member LLC, you have to use the full-fledged Business version. Not only is it more expensive, but it doesn't even include the state program or forms. For that, you have to fork over yet another $50 to download the state portion of the program. You're almost to the point where seeking out the services of a CPA might just be worth the cost, saving you the time and frustration by doing it yourself. My biggest gripe though, is that fact that the program doesn't even link to any of Turbo Tax's personal federal tax products. None of the business information that you must report on your personal taxes transfers. You have to enter and compute all that data again such as Schedule E and Form 4562. It's a major pain. Even if you know the information to enter, TT forces you to complete the Schedule E worksheet or you cannot e-file. You are forced to snail-mail it to the IRS. It really makes no sense. Great program. I love the Turbo tax programs!!! I would not know what to do without them. It is soooo much cheaper than going to a CPA. OK, I am like everyone else. I hate doing my taxes, but this product walks me through the process and has me answer questions to complete my forms. This is the second year I have used this product and I will say I am satisfied. The one thing I did not like was the e-filing with fax scan. I wanted to e-file my return, but do not have a scanner. I needed to sign a page and scan the document and attach the signed document to my e-file. Since I do not have a scanner they had a fax product where the I was supposed to be able to fax the signed sheet and then go onto a site and download the signed image. It never worked so I ended up mailing the return. Not a big deal, but I did want to skip the postage. Overall, I would recommend the product. Average Rating:![]() |

QuickBooks Pro 2006 [OLD VERSION]ReviewsWhoever sold this had given an incomplete information regarding its background use. From the descrition of the product, it never mentioned that this software is a one user program and it requires a validation code to register. Since its been used by another company, we cannot register the program and get a validation code. AND THIS IS TRUE FOR ALL QUICKBOOKS SOFTWARE. Customers must be reminded about this. We are planning to return the product and will buy our own latest program. Thank you I was disappointed in my purchase. The Seller described the product as a complete set but it was missing the Start-up and Quick Reference Guide. I have tried to contact the Seller but did not receive a response. I have been very disappointed because I feel I was misled because the Start-up and Quick Reference Guide was missing. Other Sellers indicated they were missing the guide and advertised a lower price. I paid more for what was suppose to be a complete set. Easy to use version with nice updates. If you've gotta work, QB Pro will do the job. Bought this in order to upgrade older version to latest version. It was a transition version. Really didn't use it for it's use, it was just a bridge. I made a mistake in not reading the reviews before buying this product. But don't ever buy used Intuit software. You can't use it at all. Average Rating:![]() |
