First, I think the Willow Tree collection of figures are lovely, and I'd buy them all if I could. That said, though, I'm trying to keep myself to just the ones that are special and speak to certain occasions. I received my first Willow Tree figure as a Mother's Day gift from my son, and I adore it. This one, Happiness, is to celebrate some positive changes I've had in my life recently, and I cannot wait for it to arrive!

Had purchased one of these figurines for a friend as a gift when we went on vacation. Was sorry that I didn't buy one for myself at that time. Was happy to find this one!

A friend gave this to me for my birthday one year and it sits on my desk next to my computer. It is my very favorite of my Willow Tree collection. I am an eastern bluebird lover and "landlady." This is exactly how I feel when I see my birds. They are true gifts from the Heavens.

Love these. They are so wonderful. I keep adding to my collection! So does my husband and other family members! ;)

I have had this on my desk ever since it arrived. When I look at it, I am reminded that I am free to surrender to the will of my Heavenly Father and at that point I am truly happy and without fear. I have gone through quite a period of a health crisis and this little bit of happiness greets me and helps me to know that no matter what I am free to be happy! One note about the actual figure. The color of the birds must be different on any given figurine, mine are not anywhere near the bright blue as the birds depicted in the picture here. Mine are a perfect slate blue!

I purchased two of these statues, one for me and one for a relative. I am very satisfied with this purchase. Like all other reviewers mentioned, no one can beat the price for such a quality looking statue and no one can beat the quality for such a low price. I have given just 4 stars and not 5 stars because the status is smaller than what I expected. Yes, the dimensions are given. 15" tall and 11" wide. But what is not mentioned is, 15" from toe to the tallest wing tip, not from toe to head. It may be my mistake to expect a bigger statue but I am not as thrilled as I expected to be. I am leaving this review so others dont have any false expectations. 15" from wing tip to floor. 10.5" from head to toe. 11" between the tip of the two wings.

The product more or less met my expectation. It is nicely made. I received it within the time frame indicated in the original purchase order. It was well packaged to decrease the chances of damage. The only problem I had was with the shipping cost. I don't know how the cost was calculated because it didn't match Amazon's chart for shipping. Quite frankly I wanted the object and didn't dispute the cost of shipping. I also had to pay a £13. UK Custom fee on top of the high shipping cost. Although Amazon shipping page warns about such possibility, but the retailer should have given me some indication as to what to expect. I assumed the high shipping cost included the custom charges as well, but I was wrong. All the fees should be listed clearly and in a greater detail. An item of $45 ended up costing me £80 GBP in total! Otherwise the product and shipping was fine.

This is a beautifully detailed statue. It was exactly as described by the seller & the price was one of the best on Amazon. It arrived quickly & was packaged very well. Very pleased with this transaction & this wonderful statue!

Statue was received quickly and in perfect condition (very well packed). We gave this as a Confirmation gift, and our young man was visibly impressed. This is no delicate St. Michael statue in a pretty "skirt;" this is the fierce warrior archangel of God triumphantly squashing the devil and evil. Thank you for a beautiful gift!

This statue of Saint Michael is a very nice addition to anyone's office or other room in the house. It has an antiques bronze look and a heavy weight to it. It is also the perfect size at 15" in height it is not too big but doesn't look tiny either.

Although I collect the Willow Tree Figurines myself, this one was a gift for my daughter. She recently had a new baby girl and I bought this to commemorate her new daughter's 1st trip to the beach. My daughter just loved it and I know it will bring to mind many special memories in coming years!

This was a gift for a friend- it's such a great trinket to give someone, or keep for yourself.

So cute, would make a very lovely present. I bought them for my apartment, they look really nice.

So Arcade Fire's second album turned out to not be as good as their first, but that's okay because few things are. It's not revolutionary, but it's a solid, very listenable album. It's also a bit unexpected in some of its sounds. I really wasn't expecting the most obvious influence on this band from Canada to be Bruce Springsteen. They make all the songs their own, but there's no doubt they were inspired by various American acts that were prone to political messages, as they're no strangers to that here. Perhaps the biggest fault with the album is that it can't quite keep up its energy from the first half to the second. There's still good songs to be found there, it's just not as endlessly listenable as the beginning of this or the entirety of Funeral. I wouldn't really call it a disappointment, because I do think it's pretty darn good. It would just be nice if The Suburbs, which comes out this August, is a little more consistent. At least Neon Bible's jacket is a flip book. In case you were wondering, the Springsteen influence is definitely felt in "Keep the Car Running", and especially "(Antichrist Television Blues)", which might as well have been written by him. They're both pretty enjoyable songs though. "Intervention" was the lead single, and has a nice energy to it, plus some of the better interplay between Win and Regine. She only gets one lead part this time, and it's only part of a medley called "Black Wave/Bad Vibrations". But that's a good song so it's okay. The opener "Black Mirror" has an odd feel to it, but I think it's a good way to get set for the rest of what's coming. "Ocean of Noise" and "Windowsill" are two of the weaker tracks, although they both have a couple things going for them. "No Cars Go" is a recreation of a song from their first EP, and a pretty damn catchy tune. "My Body Is a Cage" ends things, and while it's not perfect, I like what it does. They were definitely trying to do something different with this album, and I respect that even if it didn't come out as great as their last effort. They're certainly one of the more likable bands playing right now.

The "Neon Bible" and "Funeral" albums will give you some of the best music from "Arcade Fire". You are missing out if you haven't seen this group live.

Like most others I was a big fan of Funeral. Instead of a normal review I'll give you a timeline of my impression of this great album. 1. First couple of listens. Underwhelmed. Almost none of the instantly catchy complexity of Funeral. Obviously a sophomore slump of an album. I'll go back to Funeral for a while. 2. Keep listening anyway. This is pretty deep and dark, heavy music. A couple of these songs are actually really good though. Antichrist Television Blues is really good, maybe a couple others. 3. Wait a minute, a couple of these other songs are pretty good too. I'm starting to like about half of these songs, maybe more. 4. Ocean of Noise might be a masterpiece. I'm listening to this album at work with my headphones on all the time. 5. This album is a work of art. How come I didn't "get it" the first time? I must be crazy. The truth is, the music on this album is complex and layered. There's no way to catch all of it with a casual listen or two. Still, some of the songs are too dramatic and broody for my tastes. If you wanna tap into that mood then this album will let you do it. I still wonder how these guys managed to pull of such fantastic music on their 1st and 2nd albums. Not just great but best-of-the-decade great. I am a fan.

never received. I am in Iraq serving in the military. I ordered 2 albums. One album I received about 3 weeks ago. The Neon Bible album has yet to get here. I am leaving my current location in a few days. I am sure I will not receive it and probably never will.

Bought this for my 2 year old daughter. She loves the songs and sings along with them. They are all the favorites I remember singing as a child. Very cheap price they have here on Amazon too. Great CD.

The price and the shipping & handling for this product were both very reasonable. The package got here in a short amount of time. My only complaint is that I ordered the English version, but when I ripped the cd into my iTunes....the titles were all in Spanish! The songs, thankfully, were in English, so the titles only caused momentary distress.

I bought this cd for my grandaughter, and she loves it. We do the actions to the songs and she loves that Grandma knows these songs.

This CD is fun to listen to. I gave it to family as a gift.

My children spent hours listening, singing and doing the actions to this CD. Great choice as a motivator for kids to learn the songs. Catchy tunes and fun too ..even adaults will find the CD fun too.. I recommend this CD..

This was a gift because I like the copy I have. Sometimes, you just want someone else to do the reading and he has a pleasant voice.

Arrived on time and I enjoy being able to put on a set of headphones and listen.

My mother asked for this as a Christmas present. She is legally blind and very active in church and wanted the comfort of a convenient and accessible Bible. She is very happy with it, although she does require assistance to use it, since she cannot read instructions on the TV screen. It was a pleasant experience.

For my 90 year old mother who's eyesight is failing, this has been a true gift. She LOVES it and uses it almost daily. Thanks

They made this movie when men did not presume to change the accounts of the Bible. I first saw this movie at one of its premiere showings in San Francisco, 1966 on a junior high school field trip. It's every bit as good to see now. Kids love to watch it as well as adults. Fast shipping. If you want to see an accurate well acted movie true to the biblical text; see this one. Fast shipping.

This DVD is highly recommended to use as teaching and just learning of God's wonders. I truly enjoyed it.

I saw this in the theater when I was 10 years old, and I was both captivated and bored at the same time. John Huston once said he always wanted to do a biblical epic, but unfortunately he was a little late. By 1966 these type of epics had become passe as indicated a year earlier by the box office and critical failure of George Stevens' mammoth all-star production of the story of Christ "The Greatest Story Ever Told" (PLEASE! John Wayne as a Roman centurian?). Biblical epics hit their stride in the 50s with the first Cinemascope presentation of "The Robe" through "The Ten Commandments" and then hit their peak with "Ben Hur" in 1959. By the early 60s, it had become more fashionable to do epics that were straight out of the history books rather than the Bible with the likes of "Lawrence of Arabia" and "Doctor Zhivago". So what does old John do? He goes way back to well...The Beginning. Starts off with the story of Adam and Steve, oops...Adam and Eve (my apologies to gay community) starring a very young pre-"Then Came Bronson" Michael Parks in the buff. This segment is rather frustrating because to get the censors off his back for the nakedness presented here, John opt for soft-focus lenses and very little exposure resulting in a rather dark fuzzy picture. We, of course, move on to Richard Harris playing Caine beating his brother Abel to a pulp, the world's first murder, and then cast out of the Garden of Eden. Then we come to the most entertaining part of the film, Noah and the Ark. With Huston himself playing Noah, this segment has the only comedy you'll find here while still maintaining the dignity of the story. Whenever I watch this part, I just can't help but be reminded of Bill Cosby's classic Noah routine: God: NOAH! Noah: What! What do you want? God: YOU GOT TWO MALE HIPPOS THERE AND YOU NEED TO TAKE ONE OUT AND BRING IN A FEMALE! Noah: I'm not doing nothin' you change one of them! God: COME ON, YOU KNOW I DON'T WORK LIKE THAT! After the intermission, we go into the Tower of Babel with an unrecognizable Stephen Boyd playing Nimrod. Then the film really starts to bog down with the story of Abraham that is just too slow and long despite George C. Scott's passionate performance. The only highlight is when we get to Sodom and Gomorrah. Here, Huston does a really neat little special effect with Peter O'Toole playing the three angels. You see the angels all sitting in the same frame with their hooded robes shadowing their faces, when each one speaks, you see O'Toole's face appear! Pretty nifty! After that, the film just continues to drag on to the final attempted sacrifice of Abraham's son Isaac at the conclusion. Is the film a total failure? I wouldn't say so. Technically, it's beautifully done with great cinematography and a majestic music score by Toshirô Mayuzumi that would've even made Miklós Rózsa (Ben Hur) envious. Huston initially wanted this to be part one of a series on the Old Testament, but the box office performance pretty much nixed that. So, basically I would recommend this film to Bible completist and maybe parents who would want to present the Old Testament to their kids in a more entertaining fashion. The Bible is a very metaphorically cryptic book to be able to translate well to the big screen. Only "The Ten Commandments" was able pull it off successfully in terms of going more verbatim while the "The Robe" and "Ben Hur" used the Bible as more of a backdrop of a human story. Again, nice try John for tackling a difficult source, but too long and a little too late.

I think Quentin creates films that are masterpieces of creativity, just like Kubrick uses imagery. This film has really great characters who just come across with dialog that doesnt so much ring with wit but with imagination. The film uses actors who just turn their roles into scene stealers again and again. It is about gangsters who work for the big boss Maurice. Maurice doesnt show up too much except for a cat and mouse run that turns into a trial of shame and pain for this heavyweight criminal. Willis doesnt say too much, but he reflects his nonverbal as stoic until he turns into a baby talker with his uniquely attractive french girlfriend with a very round apple face. The two main thugs are Fishburne and Travolta, they both do a good job. I like the way Fishburne uses his speech and articulates so eloquently, he finally feels his bible verse during a murder raid, which will change his life. He decides to become a savior to another mixed up couple during a coffee shop burgler gone wrong. Travolta and Thurman are the most inventive and I loved when they share an intimate outing with drugs overtaking the real connection. They do the twist at a rock a billy diner with the old caddy cars as booths for the lucky few. Keitel plays an organized yuppie sweeper almost seen as godlike by his fame of handling dirty jobs so perfectly. He has a short take but its another creme de le creme character. The things I liked were the cool connection of the Travolta and Thurman, the twist and the fun of showing off their style. I liked Thurmans camera director meeting with him. She displays this air of creativity and in the moment fun even though on a high. Filming is fun, I liked to do little short character takes or shooting your friends like an interview. It was different. I liked the coffee shop. I liked the motel with the anonimity and intimacy they shared, with the overcast skies. I liked the thought of a big breakfast with blueberry pancakes and sausages with lots of maple syrup. I liked that they could go anywhere and experience great adventures like Bora Bora. I liked that Willis went back to help the oppressor out of so much degradation. I liked the way Fishburne wanted to walk the planet, meeting others sharing moments and being open to life. A must see flick.

Bought this movie for my friend and he loves it. It is one of his all time favorite movies!!!

Bought this for my husbands birthday and it was good. Initially when we watched it I thought, hmm, I wish this was a directors cut or unedited or something. After then watching the 2nd disc and hearing the method behind the madness of deleting parts the director had, it made the movie more complete and understandably enjoyable. I was a little bummed by the box it came in. It arrived warped.

This classic film may seem a bit odd at 1st, with it's swapping around with the timeline (i.e. it seems like they made the film and then reshuffled various sections round). But when you get used to that, you will find the film brilliant. It has a lot of diffrent little inter-combined stories in it, which makes it very good. The music forPulp Fiction is really good and the sound track is worth having as well. This film is exciting and keeps moving and dosn't have a boring moment. It has a brilliant start and leave's you with a mystery by the end (just like the Italien Job) Great film buy it is one of the best films ever.

When I first saw this film in 1995, I didn't quite get it, since then I have gotten almost all of Quentin Taratino's films ("Jackie Brown", "Deathproof", "Kill Bill 1 & 2", "From Dusk til Dawn") & now this one, why I ignored this one for so long I don't know, AMC aired it recently & I found myself enjoying it much more than I did in 1995, & had to get it too, Taratino is the kind of filmaker that Hollywood used to have many of, but no longer has anymore, his writing style really jumps out at you, Samuel L.Jackson is at his usual best, no one can swear like Jackson, his swearing makes me laugh every time, I have just about all of his films, he is definately one of my favorite actors that I feel doesn't get the recognition he deserves most of the time, & Taratino revived John Travolta's career here just as he revived the late David Carradine's in "Kill Bill", even Michael Keaton & Robert DeNiro took a pay cut to work with Taratino on "Jackie Brown", & I think Bruce Willis did too on this one, anyway in this one, you have three interwoven stories with Jackson & Travolta as hitmen for Ving Rhames(Con-Air, Dark Blue) who is a boxing promoter who is married to Uma Thurman (Kill Bill), with Bruce Willis as a boxer who crosses Rhames after refusing to throw a fight, but the real highlight is Jackson & Travolta's moments, the one with Taratino himself, the one with Harvey Keitel as a fixer somewhat, & especially the diner sequence where Jackson belittles a would be robber (Tim Roth), I get this one now, I think what I didn't like when I first saw it, was the mixing up of scenes, but now I get it, & this is definately Taratino's crown jewel, & a must own DVD!

I got this DVD for my daughter who loves it and we could never find it in a DVD until just weeks before her birthday. We have the VHS from many years ago, needless to say she was thrilled. The packaging was good and so was the case. Got it rather quickly too. Price was good.

This film is great for kids and was a real step in the right direction for Dreamworks animation.

When I put this movie on for the little ones, the whole family gets sucked in! The music is awesome and the characters so lovable! I enjoy watching The Prince of Egypt every time. What a good way to get your kids interested in a scripture story!!

It was interesting picking up an early DreamWorks animated feature and to have it surprise and delight in their take on the story of Moses from the Old Testament. In 1998 they decided to put together an animated feature that would combine a majority of animators and a minimum of CGI. The result was quite good. We are all familiar with the story of Moses but the way these creators wrote the tale was different than I'd seen say on The Ten Commandments with Charlton Heston. No, we have two brothers who grow up and love each other. Moses is the practical joker and Ramses, destined for greatness as the Pharaoh, is teased and can't seem to take a joke. The story depicted here does make changes from the Bible, as the film itself states at the beginning. The story as given is a more human approach that I think children and families would better understand. This is not your daddy's Bible class! In the background are the Hebrew slaves. When Hebrew children are being slaughtered, or the Hebrews are being squashed down, the usual Egyptian response was "They're just slaves." This nonchalant, superior attitude was throughout the film. Moses' doubt that he would even be chosen as a prophet was interesting. His anguish that the first born sons of Egypt would be slain and his lament that no matter what, he still considered Ramses his brother was touching. The movie was not heavy-handed in a religious way. You could see the DreamWorks guys having fun with the parting of the Red Sea, the mysterious force that represented the Angel of Death and the sweeping desert vistas. Great artwork! Voice actors included Sandra Bullock, Patrick Stewart, Steve Martin, Val Kilmer and Jeff Goldblum among many others. They did a great job here in vocal expression and tone that was believable and at times dark. The "Making Of" feature on the DVD was fun to watch. The artwork including sketches and production stills was bold and beautiful. The art direction and discussion of computer techniques which may have been cool in 1998 are pretty much routine in today's CGI world. However, to listen to them you get excited about the animation yourself. Finally, The Prince of Egypt is a musical. Lots of songs and music that give an overall theme of redemption and freedom. Does the bright thread know that it is part of a tapestry? No, it cannot see the tapestry but should take on its view. Heavy stuff, man! Music composed by Hans Zimmer and friends and songs and lyrics by Stephen Schwartz really made the movie what it was. Quite a miracle of animation, a serious story, and if there was a fault, some of the characters were a bit too "Disney-esque" but that makes it a family film so it's all good. Academy Award winner for Best Original Song 1998 "When You Believe." Favorite scenes for me were the pillar of fire and the Red Sea split, the chariot race, knocking off the nose of the Sphinx, and moving heiroglyphs on the walls during the "dream sequence." Excellent animation. Recommended. I bought this to replace the old VHS tape that had deteriorated beyond repair. It filled the bill nicely. I have had no problems with the sound that some other reviewers have noted. Mine played fine through my home theater system. As far as content, it's a movie adaptation of a theatrical production. That means it's not going to be exactly like the stage version. In fact, in viewing the "bonus content", it appears that parts can be swapped or omitted to suit the needs of the actors or audience when put on by a school or amature acting company. Kind of like Handel's "The Messiah". Is it a true representation of the Joseph story from the Bible? No. Does it change the plot in several ways? Yes. Is it a worthwhile production? Yes. It is fun and mostly maintains the essential themes from the Bible story. We have enjoyed this movie for a long time and would still recommend it. I give it 4 stars because in my opinion there is no such thing as a perfect 5 star movie.

I had the VHS tape of this video and loved it, so I just recently purchased the DVD. Not thinking there was any reason to do so, I WISH I had read the customer reviews, as many of them commented on how terrible the sound quality of this DVD is. And I'm here to back them up. I have tried watching this on both my surround sound system and the television alone, and in both cases, it's horrible. Background singers and music are barely audible, but the narrator's part will blast out your ears if you turn up the volume to hear the music. What makes this even more disappointing is that Amazon will not refund your money in full.

Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat is a GREAT fast moving show with great voices.

This is an excellent DVD. The music is fun and lively and very diverse. We bought it for my daughter's 8th birthday, and we all enjoy it. Our 6 year old loves it, too. Donny Osmond and the female lead have amazing voices. I would recommend it to all - young and old!

I liked it. With only 200 or so pages it couldn't go into detail with every story but it was a good overview of the Bible. Much of the art was striking and the narative very readable.

We have already purchased two of the Manga titles of Siku and were pleased with them. This one, however, disappointed us in that the "deluxe" portion is just another ordinary Bible. Or perhaps the "deluxe" part is the cartoon-type part. At any rate, we were not expecting the majority of the book to be just another text copy of the Bible.

I absolutely love it! The action-oriented style and artistic depiction really makes God's Word come alive in an intense way!

Amazon won't let me leave a feedback for this, so I'm writing review instead. The book itself is great, just like all the other positive reviewers said. I only wanted the rest of you know, that mine arrived damaged with missing and torn out pages. Not happy at all.....

I bought this for myself and my Godson. We both loved the artwork. I would highly recommend it to anybody you is a manga fan and has or reads the bible. The bible is of course the original best novela ever.
