I recently purchased this chicken coop. The diagram included was a little confusing. It would have been easier if it came with instructions. We managed to figure it out and it came together fairly quickly. The picture on the internet didn't show the inside of the coop. I found out that it doesn't have a great design. The inside is small and my chickens have a hard time finding a place to roost at night. There are two roosts very close together and I don't care for their shape. They are more plank-like and less like a dowel or tree limb. It comes with two nesting areas and an access door to get eggs. The run is small and the chickens usually hang out on the ramp with no room to walk around. Overall, It's OK and if you have a smaller breed of chicken. For me, my chickens are big and fat and don't have enough room. If you have less than four chickens it would be ideal.

It arrived in a timely manner. One of the boards was broken. It did not come with assembly instructions. Luckily I had someone who could put it together for me. It is really only big enough for 2 full sized chickens if they are going to be in there full time. Overall it is fully functional as a chicken coop. I feel like they are very secure because of the all around wire so that is why I have given it the 4 star rating. I received advice that I would end up wanting more than 2 chickens as an urban chicken farmer. That advice was correct and I am going to have to build a bigger space situation- but will still use this coop as well. Three hens will be perfect!

I love this hutch! I got assembled it (quite easy I must say) and i let it air out so it didnt smell so much. It was smaller than excpected but still huge. The onley 2 things that were wrong is the nesting box and the house tray. the nesting box got really nasty and wouldnt clean cause of the wood floor.we ended up taking out the bottom and putting chicken wire instead. It was sad cause they enjoyed cuddling up in there. Also cleaning the tray is quite time consuming but you can close thedoor the the house so they can play in the run while your cleaning it. All in all i am very satisfied and so are my bunnys! get it

This is my first Watermelon Slim purchase so I don't have much to compare with. I would call the music on this disc country blues with many of the songs about truck driving. In reality this is the type of music that I would normally avoid like the plague, but there is something about Slim's songwriting that sticks with me and I am really enjoying this album. Slim at times reminds me of Leon Redbone in his delivery and his lyrics are heartfelt and down home. The fact that Slim has spent most of his life making his living as a long haul trucker gives these songs significant credibility. From what I have read his other albums do not have as much of a country influence as this one, so again I am not sure how this compares. The album opens with the rocking "Caterpillar Whine" and closes with "18 18 Wheeler". In between are more songs about truck driving, car wrecks, interesting characters, and moral dilemmas. Slim's slide guitar is prominent throughout as his occasional bursts of harmonica. Slim's lyrics are road weary and gruff, but get right to the heart of the American road in their bluntness. For a first purchase I am impressed and am curious to see what his less country influenced stuff is like.

Potential buyers/listeners should be aware that this collection of tunes is a departure from "Watermelon Slim's" typical style of slide blues and is definitely old school country with a hint of blues. With said, this CD is a great touch point for truck driving songs played in a Country music style. Anyone who is familiar with this artist will appreciate these songs. Likewise, I suggest that if this is your first impression of the artist then you may be very happy with other CDs from "Watermelon Slim and the Workers". My personal favorite out of his collection is the original self-titled CD "Watermelon Slim and the Workers" which is more of a bluesy-slide style more closely related to Johnny Winter, Dickie Betts, Duane Allman or Walter Trout. It is refreshing to hear old school country sound married to modern production levels. Clean language that even the preacher's family can hear. Well produced and nicely performed, "Escape From The Chicken Coop" is a great CD. Also recommended: Wayne Hancock (Tulsa)

I have all of Slim's CDs, but this is the best. He sounds completely natural and at-home with this combination of blues and country. There isn't a bad song in the bunch. If you're a fan of Slim's blues, then you'll enjoy this, too. There's definitely more of a country sound but, as usual, it's all very original and isn't typical cookie-cutter country. I can't wait for the next CD!

I love country music and blues and this album seems to be the perfect blend of both. I especially like the slide on it's hard to be humble.

This is a great DVD for those planning to raise poultry. I got this for my 4H Market Turkey Project as turkeys are similar in many ways to chickens (and I could not find a DVD for raising turkeys). The sections are labeled clearly so it's an easy tool to use in any teaching situation. It's well filmed and the audio is good. It gives practical advice for anyone planning to raise and show chickens.

I am currently getting ready to purchase my first flock of chickens and I have read just about every poultry book I can get my hands on! The DVD literally shows you the basics and makes it easier to see just what needs to be done. There are sections on showing chickens for 4-H and tips on buying good stock. Also, it graphically shows how to butcher chickens when the time comes. That was hard to watch but really lets you see what to expect. All-in-all, it was worth the money. I refer back to it and the DVD has been very helpful.

If you, like I, are looking for a detailed instruction for caring for poultry, and don't care very much about the rarefied world of show chickens, this is not the book for you. It is spare on the basics that it proports to teach and seems to go on endlessly about the group itself that produced this film.

A beginner's Guide to Raising and Showing Chickens is very informative DVD. I highly recommend it for beginners or for the expierenced. It goes into detail about showing, showmanship, what birds are good to start out with, what birds you should choose for show and so much more. Even the butchering part is very helpful and educational. I love watching this DVD because every time I watch it seems I learn something new, I can't wait for the second edition! Great job!

Very informative. Enjoyed the cd. Gives you a good look into showmanship of your poultry. Also helpful info for raising poultry.

I saw this style chicken coop all over the internet (England/China/hundreds of stores in U.S.,etc) with more options; metal roofs, 2 wheels, 4 wheels and even sitting in a wagon, electrical options, heavy screen across the windows, sold in kits customers put together to save money and sold fully assembled, etc. For the money, this is too much for too few options. I almost purchased this one. I ended up making my own. If I didn't I would have purchased from ezcleancoops
